Dare to be different. It pays!

There was a time when a handshake was more binding then a contract.  Your word a direct reflection on your character.  Unfortunately for many those days are long gone.

One of the biggest time and money savers in the world is to be honorable.  People will trust you, you don’t have to constantly watch your back and this will pay off in many ways.

In business people justify their dishonesty but the end result is always tragic.  My dad used to tell me that you have to live with yourself, so do what you say you will do, and you can always look yourself in the mirror.  I don’t know how some people can look at themselves in the mirror or worse yet look their spouse or children in the eye.  Lack of integrity is a cancer that is killing our business world, our communities, our churches and our families.

The solution?

Dare to be different! Honor your word even if it hurts and sometimes it does.  In the long run it will always pay off.  In todays world this is a radical concept especially when money or ego are involved.  Be radical, dare to be different!  Be a person others can count on and trust!
