You will get what you focus on

Your experience of life will always be the reflection of what you focus on.

Focus on the bad economy, the annoying neighbor or your spouse that is always coming home late from work and you will have one experience in life.

Focus on how blessed you are with a spouse that is out providing for you so you have a secure future, on the fact that you are so lucky to have a house and have food in the refrigerator and you will have a different experience in life.

Take a peek at this fun video…..

Focus on the good, the pure, the lovely, the uplifting.  Focus on all the blessings God has in your life. Live a life of gratitude and you will live a joyful life!

Do you agree?  Do you notice the difference on how you feel based on what you focus on?

Hiding behind food, drink, work, anger?

We all have different strategies to distract ourselves from things we don’t like and sometimes these are very counter productive.

Many times these counter productive behaviours are simply you running away from something you need to face head on so you can live the life you deserve.  Hard times in our lives don’t ruin our lives they just make us complete beings.

Many people who would never dream of doing drugs will use food as a drug when emotions run high.  In fact food is the most common and one of the most powerful drugs readly available to everyone.

Here are some others:

  • Overeating
  • Overspending
  • Constantly arguing
  • Obsessing over dieting
  • Obsessively exercising
  • Staying online for hours
  • Addiction to pornography or gambling
  • Cigarettes, alcohol or drugs

These are just a way of running away from the very things we need to face in order to be victors in live vs victoms.

It is time to put these things down and live an empowered lifestyle.

Are you ready to start anew today?

Is it worth it?

In most areas of life, there’s an awful lot of work that goes into the last ten percent..

Getting your body fat from 11% to 8% is much more difficult then going from 14% to 11%.

Making a gourmet meal is a lot more work then just throwing a burger on the grill.

Getting to work early, staying late and not only getting everything done but bringing value to your company takes more effort then just blending in with the masses.

Setting goals and the laying out a plan of action is ten times more work then just getting out of bed and waiting to see what happens.

The last ten percent is were excellence is!  Its the way we let people know we are different, we have expertise and have a high commitment to professionalism. If all you’re doing is the bare minimum required you will only get standard results and rewards.  The hard part is the last ten percent, which is why few do it.  Everyone is too busy focusing on being mediocre.

The secret is to do what others aren’t willing to do!  That is were the greatest rewards are!!!

Dare to be different!  Dare to be great!

Is this unfamiliar territory for you or are you an achiever?

Protein Chart

How much protein?  Here is a simple chart to help.

The rule of thumb is at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. For example, a 100 pound person would take at least 100 grams of protein. This is a unisex rule. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or a woman. It is still 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. You are going to use your current weight, not your goal weight! It’s that simple. Don’t worry. I will give you an easy way to measure your protein out in a minute.

If you are trying to add muscle and/or lose fat, you need more protein. Let me explain. One gram of protein per pound of body weight is the bare minimum. I suggest that most people start off with this amount for the first month or two and then increase it from there. If, however, you are trying to put on muscle or burn fat, you’ll need to up it to 1.25 – 1.5 grams. Once you are doing this for a while, you’ll begin to “know” your body. You’ll know how much you need and can adjust up or down to meet your goals.

A 100 pound person would need at least 5 portions of protein during the day. 100 pounds = 100 grams of protein, divided by 20 grams of protein = 5 portions. Now just divide these serving among the meals you are eating. This 100 lb person would have one serving of protein with every meal if she was eating 5 meals a day and you should be eating a minimum of 5 meals a day.

Below is a simple chart that will help you. You don’t need to go crazy counting your protein intake, just use this as a guide and do the best you can. Making this easy for you will allow you to focus more time on the passions that God has put in your life.

Body Weight # of Servings for 1 gram/lb # of Servings for 1.25 gram/lb # of Servings for 1.5 gram/lb
100 5 6 8

Be the Most Valuable Player in Your Own Life!

Challenges are hard to anticipate in any business, but they’re easier to overcome with business coaching.

All athletes know the value of a coach and the more successful they are the more apparent is that value. As the athlete becomes more successful, the harder it is to focus and their coach helps them keep their eye on the ball. Personal coaching is just like sports coaching with regard to helping the best become better. Personal coaching not only helps you establish organized plans for every challenge you come across, it helps set those plans in motion. A personal coach helps you tackle challenges with a plan and strategy from your view and an outside view: the coach. This way, you can achieve all you want.

Think about it, if an athlete didn’t have a coach. He might keep doing the same things that have worked for him many times before, and he might be fine for a while. But eventually, since he’s doing the same things and not necessarily getting better at his sport or his skills, the competition will surpass him. If you saw an athlete without a coach you would think he was arrogant and unwise.  This photo is of Michael Jordan with his MVP trophy.  By the way Jordan was always the first to get to practice and the last to leave.  Working with his coach on the basics so he could be creative on the court.  The same is true in life, master the basics and you can be much more creative.

Its the same thing with you. Times change, the economy changes, innovations and business strategies change. You cant keep doing the same thing you’ve been doing. Eventually the competition will surpass you.

Its even true with big brands McDonalds, Starbucks and Coca-Cola are constantly ahead of the game and dealing with challenges. Especially in the recession, how many brands that used to be around (Fannie Mae, Bombay Co., Sharper Image) aren’t anymore?

When it comes to a company’s competitors and to your life a coach is a sound investment in your future because it keeps you ahead of and in the game of life.

Personal coaching is fast-becoming a great investment because it keeps the you ahead of competitors. Coaching is a rapidly growing industry for several of the following reasons:

- Personal coaching increases performance. Coaching develops the best qualities you have, making the most of your qualities, unique talents and significantly increasing productivity, making the most of your talents and skills.

- Personal coaching enables you to reach your potential, increase their your-esteem and thus raise the quality of your work and personal life at the same time.

With Rowley Results Coaching we take a very unique approach. We first focus on your passion then help you put a plan together to achieve it. We then help you in implementing the steps necessary to achieve your passions and purpose in live. While we are addressing your passions and plan we help you work on you! John knows that you are your most important asset. You must be physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and fiscally fit in order to be your best. So this is a holistic approach to life long success and happiness.

If you’re convinced, you’re one step closer to bettering your life.

Three Simple Things to Focus on For Business Success

Focus and simplify your efforts with the three most powerful business goals.

Every business is unique; yet, what I have learned modeling the success of many  business owners, entrepreneurs’, doctors and real estate agents is that business goals basically boil down to three categories. As you plan the future of your business, focus your efforts by determining which of the following areas you are trying to improve upon.

  • Productivity. Every business  wants to improve productivity.  Getting the best results in the least amount of time.  This is how you know you’re improving your business.
  • Profitability. This is how you keep score.  How much money you make, and how much do you keep and use personally.
  • Predictability. As you create value for clients and customers, you get paid for this value. Being able to control and predict the experience your clients have with your business is critical.

When you have a predictable business you can project your future.  Productivity allows you the means, resources, and the opportunities to plan much farther ahead.  Many business owners can’t see any further than today and what their  financial statement tells them.  The most successful business owners know where they are going and know where they will be one year, two years, five years and more ahead.  Planning and investing for the future.

Question: Are you focusing on productivity, profitability and the predictability of your business or are you just trying to survive today?

Ten Freedoms of the Smart Real Estate Agent.

There’s a common misconception in the world that real estate agents are all about money. In fact, in over 20 years of being around successful real estate professionals, I’ve never come across one who was only doing it for the money.  Money and other material rewards are a means to an end, and a fantastic way to keep score, but what I’ve found all real estate professionals are really looking for freedom.

Freedom 1: Ideals. When you are connected with your deepest values and highest ideals, you have a definite picture of the kind of person that you want to be. With this picture in mind, you gain the freedom to become that person in all areas of your life on a daily basis.

Freedom 2: Free Time. This means two things: freedom to increase the quantity of your free time and, even more important, freedom to increase the quality. As you progress, your free time becomes more meaningful and rejuvenating.  If you are loosing your free time, then look into our coaching program specifically for real estate agents.

Freedom 3: Energy. As you eliminate all those things in your life—relationships, situations, activities, and obligations—that drain your energy, you find yourself increasingly surrounded by an environment that supports and boosts your energy.  Since you are taking the time to exercise and eat intelligently you have the energy to enjoy your life.

Freedom 4: Strategy. Instead of continually reacting to changes, you become more and more proactive. You have the freedom to think ahead, to plan improvements, and to make progress in a way that is strategic (best results in the shortest time) and exponential (greatest results with the least effort).

Freedom 5: Relationship. The best possible life for a real estate professional comes from having the best possible relationships, ones that are supportive, creative, profitable, and satisfying. You gain increased freedom to attract and develop these kinds of relationships in all areas of your life.

Freedom 6: Money. You have many purposes—both professional and personal—for increased amounts of money. But unlike many other real estate professionals, you continually increase your freedom to make more money doing only those things that you excel at and love.

Freedom 7: Attention. We live in a world of decreasing attention spans. This is as true among real estate professionals as it is elsewhere. But you continually gain the freedom to focus your best attention, energies, resources, and abilities on your most important commitments in life.

Freedom 8: Value. Everyone talks about “value creation” these days, but you are actually one of the few individuals who can profitably create increased value for more and more people—without the dangers of being commoditized by price-cutting competitors.

Freedom 9: Success. Many real estate professionals are highly successful but feel guilty about their success and its rewards. Because you create extraordinary and unique value for others, you are able to abandon the guilt and enjoy freedom in relation to your success.

Freedom 10: Future. Unlike many entrepreneurs who grow to a certain point and then stop, your future is continually becoming bigger than your past. You have the increased freedom to imagine, commit to, act on, and actualize a continually bigger personal future.

A framework for growth.

By focusing on these ten dimensions of freedom, you will clearly see how your real estate life is working for you and where you’d like to make improvements. Our coaching program explores this in great depth.  Click Here to Learn More.

Question: Are you experiencing these freedoms?  If not what are you going to do differently so you do?

Dennis Tinerino – A Super Sized Faith

With great sadness I write this today.  My friend Dennis Tinerino went home to be with the Lord.  Dennis is a great husband, father, friend, champion and man of faith!

There is nothing that I could write that would properly memorialize his life.  But I can say he has changed mine for the better and forever.

Dennis was a man of character, commitment and charisma.  He would boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ at every opportunity.  He would make you laugh with his stories and keep you engaged with his charismatic personality.  We would talk faith, bodybuilding, nutrition, about “da neighborhood” and about our families.  The thing that stood out when you spoke to Dennis was his love for his God and his undying love for the love of his life Anita!  And what a proud father!  He was more then a champion bodybuilder, Dennis was a champion of life.

His book Super Size Your Faith says it all.  Dennis was a humble servant of the Lord that was larger then life.  You can get a copy of Dennis’s book by simply clicking on the book.  In Dennis’s own words this shows his journey From Brooklyn to Beverly HIlls – From Champion to Criminal – From Prison to Pulpit.

Dennis we love you and miss you brother!

The Power of a Coach

“It is time for us all to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever—the one who recognizes the challenge and does something about it.” — Coach Vince Lombardi

This weekend I had the privilege of being the keynote speaker at The Real Estate Masters Guild, which was an incredible event.  In fact it was life changing for many and the residual effects of this event will be felt for years to come for all!

The one thing I noticed among these high achievers was the fact that even though the were already at the pinnacle of success in their chosen industry they still had a coach.  This is an important distinction.  The best of the best in all fields still have a coach, in fact it is the most important investment they make.  Tiger woods has a coach, Serena Williams has a coach, Kobe Bryant has a coach… the list is endless.  This is true in the business world as well as the sports world.  High achievers know that a coach will bring them to a new level.

The key benefits of a coach are:

  • Regain a sense of certainty that you are in direct control of every aspect of your life.
  • Immediately move from an activity orientation to a results orientation.
  • Experience a tremendous increase in productivity and accountability to your vision.
  • Create a powerful sense of purpose, drive, and fulfillment every day.
  • Create a life plan that will allow you to achieve balance and make progress in all the areas of your life that are important to you.  Financial, physical, relational, emotional, spiritual.
  • Keep track of your progress, learn from the past, and celebrate your victories.

If you are not currently working with a coach we would love to help!  If you are interested in putting the power of a coach to work in your life you can schedule your FREE coaching session immediately by simply contacting a Coaching Consultant now.
