Performance is Today’s Universal Currency

Everyone has the same 10,080 minutes in the week.  Some people have time to change the world & others barely have time to change their socks.  Time isn’t the issue when it comes high performance in business or in life.  Having the energy to utilize your time effectively is!

In today’s saturated business world, performance may very well be the most valuable form of currency. It takes expertise, energy and innovative thinking to deliver in today’s business environment.  Those who deliver, profit and grow, those who don’t will not be here tomorrow.

In watching the movie Secretariat it really showed how people value a gifted animal that was of high value. The owners and trainers made sure it got enough rest, ate the proper food at the right times and exercised him effectively, so it would perform up to his potential.  Secretariat was a valuable asset and was treated as such.

So many people can understand the value of a race horse or even a car but underestimate their own personal value. They reduce their own personal performance by not resting enough, eating poorly, not exercising effectively, filling their head with unproductive thoughts.  In short they are out of balance and not healthy and whole.   They take their most valuable asset, their own human performance and destroy it.

If you were doing this to a race horse they would be labeled a nut.  When you do it to a person you are labeled an American.

Is the American dollar of less value today because of politics or is it because many Americans have destroyed their own personal value and this is carrying over into the business world?
